I'll take what I can get

I've decided to take this as a compliment, now that I hear it so often:
"Your baby is so beautiful! She looks just like you!"

So if a has quality b, and a=c, then c has qualty b as well.

I thought that as a baby you looked just like me when I was a baby. Therefor to extend your analogy... and c = d then d(adoo) also has the quality. We are triplettes separated by a few years!
