Crisis averted

Athena went shopping at the outlet malls with her bridesmaids this weekend and found a suitable wedding dress for...wait for it....$30.00.

It fits her like a glove. She only needs to get the bottom hemmed because she's SO short. (Anyone shorter than I is SO short.)

So that's taken care of, which is nice. We still need to get a baptismal outfit for Earen, but that's okay. There was a ring pillow/backpack that was hand embroidered by Barbara that can't be replaced (Earen is going to be the ring boy, and seeing as he's only four months old, they were planning to strap the pillow to him and carry him down the aisle) but all in all, I think that Athena really lucked out with the $30 dress thing.

This weekend was really boring except for Saturday, when Patrick (Athena's husband to be) was baptized into the Orthodox Church. No, he didn't have to stand in a blow-up pool. The church has a full-size baptismal pool. Dimitri was his Godfather. The funniest part was when Father John tried to find enough hair on Patrick's head to snip (Patrick is follically challenged).

Nothing special for Labor Day. No one invited us to a BBQ, but it's just as well, because it was nice to laze around the house.
